Get to know me

I'm a writer and editor with a passion for science, health, sports and culture.

My origin story: I was a research assistant in a neuroscience lab in Atlanta, Georgia (where I attended Emory University) when I realized many of our participants weren't able to access or understand the very findings we hoped would benefit them. I started a lab blog to translate our team's publications into content for a non-scientific audience.

I interned for a waterfowl hunting magazine (yes, really), then worked in communications for a medical school's radiology department. Currently, I am the digital editor for an award-winning lifestyle magazine, where I pitch, write, edit, and manage our website and web-exclusive content.

Beyond that, I'm a Bills fan, an avid reader of historical fiction and fantasy, a runner and a swim coach. I have a French bulldog named Odysseus and an unhealthy addiction to Alie Ward's "Ologies" podcast.
